In January 2019, Nicholas assumed management of the Yepremian coffee shop in Hemet, California, which had originally opened in May 2016. Under his leadership, the establishment broadened its offerings by adding more food options, evolving into a full-fledged restaurant.

In early 2020, Walter Johnson, a professional chef, met Patricia Yepremian for the first time. Impressed by Walter’s skills, Nick offered him a position at the restaurant.

The pandemic began in March 2020, forcing the business to shut down for a month. Walter proposed launching a BBQ event to streamline operations. The opening day went well, prompting them to keep it going while slowly reintroducing the coffee offerings.

Over the course of two years, Destination Coffee Bar transformed into Destination Smokehouse, a BBQ restaurant with a Texas-inspired menu. It has developed a dedicated fan base and draws visitors from across the globe. The aim is to deliver an outstanding dining experience while building a strong community atmosphere. The commitment is to ensure each visit surpasses the previous one.
