Hidden Gems of Akumal in the Riviera Maya
My husband and I stayed at Secrets Akumal, which remains our top choice for all-inclusive resorts. For nearly 11 years, Ultimate All-Inclusive Travel has helped us plan vacations, offering expert guidance and ensuring we get the best value. Secrets Akumal delivered everything we enjoy in one perfect package. The architecture and design are elegant and well-crafted. Our room was beautifully appointed, with everything functioning flawlessly. The bathroom was spacious, and the closet and drawers provided ample storage. The bed and pillows were high-quality and incredibly comfortable. Every restaurant impressed us, and the pool areas were stunning, surrounded by beautiful landscaping. However, the beach was the highlight—so breathtaking that we spent most of our time there instead of the pool. Plenty of thatched umbrellas and lounge chairs were available. As avid snorkelers, we brought our own gear and explored the waters daily, often spotting sea turtles. The resort’s bike tour was a delight, and the pool spin bikes added a unique, fun twist. I made sure to participate in some form of exercise each day. The theater and shows were fantastic, with the Beatles Show being my personal favorite. We came across negative reviews but concluded that anyone who dislikes Secrets Akumal must simply be too hard to please.

I recently returned from the incredible getaway you organized for us at Excellence Cancun Riviera, and I wanted to express my deepest gratitude for such a fantastic experience. I figured you might appreciate some feedback, along with a few ideas for our upcoming all-inclusive vacation. To start, the service was exceptionally warm and attentive. The staff genuinely prioritized our comfort and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. Every detail was flawlessly executed, leaving us with the sense that they truly valued our presence—and that’s likely the reason we’d return.ultimateWe couldn’t be more pleased with our stay. The grounds and pools were flawless, and the entertainers were exceptionally skilled. Our rooms, 6116 and 6117, were perfectly situated in a quieter, more secluded area of the resort—just what we wanted for our family, including my wife, myself, and our two daughters. While some parts of the resort were lively, we would have been less satisfied staying there, as we prefer a balance of activity and tranquility, especially at our age.
The dining experience was mostly outstanding. The French restaurant and Spice restaurant delivered exceptional meals, and the breakfast buffet was consistently good. However, lunch options, particularly at the buffet, became repetitive and lacked variety. The Fiesta Mexican night stood out for its meticulous details and the sheer effort put into the event. Watching the team set up all day in the plaza, working tirelessly, was impressive.
The beach was impeccably maintained, though the water clarity wasn’t ideal—something beyond the resort’s control. Evenings were stunning, with the resort’s lighting creating a picturesque atmosphere that matched the photos we captured. Overall, it was a remarkable experience.

Our recent stay at the Secrets St James resort in Jamaica was fantastic. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. The only downside was the lengthy check-in process, as we had to wait more than three hours to access our room after arriving at the resort.

Our time in Puerto Rico was truly wonderful. We chose the Royal Sonesta for our stay, and it was stunning in every way. The team there provided exceptional service. Our stay at the Haven Resort was absolutely incredible! Without a doubt, it’s the most stunning resort we’ve visited, with the most delicious food and exceptional service we’ve ever experienced!
The resort offers a calm and tranquil atmosphere, perfectly suited for our needs after enduring two challenging weeks with our family. However, those seeking more excitement and lively activities might find this destination less ideal for their preferences.
The spa’s water circuit is an absolute MUST! We visited daily after our workouts—it was incredibly soothing!
Another note about the Resort: In all our travels, we’ve never experienced a place that anticipated our needs the way this one did. There was no need to ask—they simply knew. We’d set down an empty water glass just to see how quickly they’d notice, and within seconds, it was refilled. Even our wine glasses were topped up without us realizing it at times! Truly exceptional service!

Our latest relaxing getaway at Couples Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica was just as wonderful as ever. Sharon handles all the arrangements perfectly, ensuring we never have to stress over anything. Surpassed What We Anticipated
Beaches Turks & Caicos has surpassed all our expectations. Even before our arrival, the resort was incredibly attentive, and the level of service here is extraordinary. Every desire is effortlessly fulfilled. Our room features a refrigerator fully stocked with water and sodas, and housekeeping refreshes it twice a day. The dining experience is exceptional—I was initially skeptical about an all-inclusive resort’s quality, but the food proved me wrong. On the first night, we enjoyed prawns and king crab, followed by shrimp, chicken, beef, and mahi mahi at the Teppanyaki restaurant the next evening. Later, we dined at a French restaurant, savoring black mussels, a warm goat cheese salad with balsamic reduction, beef tenderloin with Bernaise sauce, and decadent desserts like a dark chocolate cake with French cream and strawberries, plus a fruit dish with sabayon sauce.
The resort boasts a charming French café offering specialty coffees, teas, and freshly baked pastries, alongside a wood-fired pizza spot and a 50’s-style diner serving ice cream sodas. Popcorn, cotton candy, and ice cream are readily available throughout the property. The cocktails are premium—think apple martinis and piña coladas.
The staff excels at entertaining children, from cookie-baking with Elmo to Cookie Monster’s birthday party, sing-alongs with Bert and Ernie, treasure hunts, and pool parties. Our kids often didn’t want to leave when we came to pick them up.
We scuba dived twice daily in the crystal-clear, 83-degree waters, surrounded by vibrant marine life, and loved the freedom to dive independently. One evening, we captured stunning sunset photos on the beach—another fantastic resort offering.

Thank you so much!! Our honeymoon was absolutely wonderful!! Couples Swept Away was a fantastic suggestion—the beach there is truly unmatched. We adored the cuisine, the shores, the team, and the entire experience. We tried the day-trade option at Couples Negril, which was pleasant but didn’t compare to Swept Away’s beach. We also toured the Appleton Rum factory (it was alright—not worth the trip by itself) and YS Falls, which was amazing. The falls were stunning, and I wish we could have stayed longer.
Club Mobay provided an outstanding experience. Being escorted through customs upon arrival was incredibly convenient, and the departure lounge was fantastic. I would definitely choose this service again without hesitation.
