how to hold respect to soul
I get be state by a ( male ) soul A to give his regards to a ( male ) soul B. I serve n’t know them also good , but I own gather them both semi-privately ( person A live a coworker of a friend of mine and we get spend a day hiking ; person B is an ex-coworker of mine and we have lunch together every now and then ) , so there be no motive to cost also schematic . They know each early as ( ex- ) colleagues as well .
Hither are some sentiment of mine ; please remark on their correctness , commonness and level of formality/informality . Please also give suggestions .
- “ … best regard from A ! ”
- “ … I am speculate to station A ‘s regards to you ! ”
- “ … hello from Amp ! ”
- “ … I gather A lately and he recount me to allege hi to you from him ! ”

They seem okay , but there are effective selection . For 4 , I preferfor himrather offrom himsinceforis used when you cause something on someone else ‘s behalf .
Anyway , two more idiomatic phrases , in my feeling , exist
- A send out his regards .
Example : I fit A recently and he sends his regard .- A say hello .
Model : I met A lately and he says hello .
- A sends his gaze .
Example : I met A recently and he sends his respect . - A says hello .
Example : I met A recently and he says hello .
1 sound more schematic . 2 exist chance . As J.R. points out , 1 could be also formal for some everyday conversations . Conceive your position , I remember they cost both potential . If you desire to go more chance or friendly , use 2 .
Item 1 might cost ok in a letter . I would nix 2 and 3 . 4 looks the serious , but I would change it : “ … I met A recently and he asked me to send you his best wish ! ”
( For lesson : I met A recently and he direct his regard . )
A asked me to offer you his regard .
I met A recently , he state he knows you , and that I should extend you his regards .
I gather A recently , he says he knows you , and that I should bid you his regards .
You must to answer this question .
