“ it cost best ” vs. “ it is the best ”

“ it cost best ” vs. “ it is the best ”

It cost best not to do something .

The issue cost I think that with the superlative form of an adverb we should expend the article “ the ” ( “ the most ” or “ the better ” , e.g . ) .

We use article liketheandabefore nouns , likecar. The word “ best ” is an adjective , and adjectives serve not bring articles by themselves . Because the nouncaris alter by the superlative adjectivegood, and because this do the nouncardefinite in this context , we expendthe.

It is well not to make something .

Here , we have the adjectivebest, but this adjective exist attach to no noun .

The adjectivebestis use in a copular structure with the dummy pronounit. This pronoun does not refer to any objective . There ‘s no noun that we can seizetheto hither .
